Booked a room with exceptionally good views of the ocean and island. The bathroom was good and it had a shower, hair dryers and a bidet for our convenience. Location: the hotel was adjacent to the different sights.

Loved the French cuisine and bay views! The Panorama spa on the 13th floor was so relaxing. The free shuttle made getting around a breeze.

Oh, the decor was just fabulous! So retro and outdated, it felt like I traveled back in time.

The location is comfortable and great in a beautiful area, just off Kagoshima, a mall with 100yen shop and a super market selling goods at a good price and restaurants and shops. And it's by Kotsuki river.

The room was exceptionally nice with central heating, multi-channel TV and a refrigerator.

Loved converting to French cuisine at the 13th-floor Phoenix with breathtaking bay views. Hotel steps away from culture hall and city library. Enjoyed Japanese cuisine at onsite restaurants. The Panorama spa with hot spring water was a real treat. Free shuttle made getting around a breeze. So convenient!

It's amazing how they managed to cram a metal handle on the table drawer in my room just to make sure I get hurt when I stand up. Bravo!

Hotel's room was a nice size and quiet with a spectacular view of Sakurajima mountain. The bed was nice, plus the bathroom was nice. It was a convenient and excellent location right by a super market.

The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful, and the room, although small, was spotlessly clean and tidy. The highlight of my stay was definitely the onsen on the top floor with its breathtaking view of Sakurajima. I loved soaking in the waters and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of Japanese and Western dishes, ensuring there was something for everyone. The hotel's location near a shopping center made last-minute shopping incredibly convenient. I had a comfortable and enjoyable experience at the Kagoshima Sun Royal Hotel.

Location so close to a super market selling goods at a good price and the volcano and grocery store. Fairly quiet and spacious room plus a stable WiFi and a balcony.

The hot springs were a nice addition, and it was wonderful to be able to relax and look out at the rolling hills. , the staff was polite and willing to help in any way they could. The location was great, with plenty of restaurants and shopping centers nearby.

The room was not properly cleaned upon arrival, and the bed was hard and uncomfortable. the air conditioning was not working correctly which made it difficult to get enough sleep.

The view from the Onsen is jaw-dropping, catch the sunset over the volcano! The small but comfortable rooms have a wonderful mountain view lounge on the 12th floor. The staff is super friendly, special thanks to Geoffroy for taking care of me in French! The free shuttle is very convenient and compensates for the hotel's distance from the city center. The on-site English speaking staff is a pleasant surprise, and the send-off with a thank you banner was mind-blowing!

I had a wonderful stay at the Sun Royal hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the two gentlemen from the UK and France who provided us with detailed information about sightseeing in Kagoshima. The service was top-notch, and they even helped us with packing a large carton box. The hotel facilities were typical Japan standard - clean and well-organized. The highlight for me was the rooftop onsen on the 13th floor, which offered a stunning view of Sakurajima smoking in the bay. The buffet breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices. Additionally, the hotel's location was convenient, just across the road from a large mall for last-minute shopping.

The staff were generally friendly, and the free shuttle was appreciated. The complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste were a nice touch. The location was decent, with a bus stop nearby to take us to the sights.

The room was outdated with old furnishings and dingy walls. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, and the musty smell was overpowering.
